# Image Node

Generate and edit images with AI in Avis Creative Studio: relight, color grade, expand, change camera angles, build storyboards and separate layers.

The Image Node is used to generate and process images.

<figure><img src="https://3712251980-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fd1iOtdhEqFbDy8JzwAnH%2Fuploads%2FiNmvxtgrjXSUFifYsrFy%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=03b3989c-0d01-40f6-97d3-769727238e57" alt="" width="375"><figcaption><p>Image Node in Avis Creative Studio</p></figcaption></figure>

### Generate images with the Image Node

Starting from an empty **Image Node**, follow these steps to generate an image:

1. Choose the **Model**, **Aspect Ratio**, **Resolution** and **Number of outputs**, then enter a **Prompt**. The estimated cost is shown in the bottom-right corner.
2. Add reference images in one of the following ways:
   * Upload an image from your computer by choosing **Image to Image** or **Image Reference**.
   * Click **+ Refer to** to select an image or text prompt that is already on the Canvas.
   * Drag an image or prompt directly into the Image Node. The number of supported references depends on the model.
3. Enter or edit the prompt in the prompt box if needed.
4. Click **Generate** to create the image in the Image Node.

### Image Node tools

**Image Node Tools** are quick tools for processing the current image. Double-click the Image Node to open the tool list (click **More actions** to see all tools).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.avis.net/avis-creative-studio/feature-guide/image-node.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
