# Video Node

Generate AI video from prompts and images in Avis Creative Studio, then upscale to 4K, reshoot and finish your shots on the Canvas.

The Video Node is where you generate AI video from a prompt, a start frame image or reference media (image to video), and then process it with tools such as Reshooting, Upscale and Audio separation. Use Draft to preview a Seedance video at 480p before you confirm the final version.

#### Generate videos with the Video Node

Starting from an empty **Video Node**, follow these steps to generate a video:

1. Choose the **Model**, **Aspect Ratio**, **Resolution**, **Number of outputs**, **Duration**, **Audio On/Off** and **Seed**, then enter a **Prompt**. The estimated cost is shown in the bottom-right corner. When you pick an Aspect Ratio, an empty Video Node resizes right away to match it.
2. Add a source in one of the following ways:
   * Choose **Upload local video** to upload a video from your computer.
   * Choose **Video from start frame** to use an image as the starting frame.
   * Choose **Video from source video** to pick a video from your Assets.
3. Use **Refer to**, **Start image** or **Source video** to add references that are already on the Canvas. You can also drag images, videos or text prompts directly into the Video Node. The number of supported references depends on the model.
4. Review your prompt and settings, then click **Generate** to create the video in the Video Node.

#### Draft => Confirm Final **(Seedance)**

Use **Draft** to preview a video before paying for the full-quality version.

1. In the Video Node settings, choose **Draft** in the **Task** row. The resolution is set to **480P · Draft**.
2. Click **Generate**. You get a fast 480p preview.
3. If you like it, click **Confirm Final** in the corner of the video to render the final **1080p** version.

* The final video matches the draft, because it reuses the same seed and task. Generating again from scratch gives a different result.
* You are charged twice: once for the 480p draft and once for the 1080p final.
* Draft works together with other tasks, including **Edit**.

#### Video Node tools

**Video Node Tools** are quick tools for editing and processing the current video.

<figure><img src="https://3712251980-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fd1iOtdhEqFbDy8JzwAnH%2Fuploads%2FdJoBOJnMJZjpxa0c4lzh%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=cd02e3c5-b487-4792-a5fa-109d6f414d48" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>Video Node tools menu</p></figcaption></figure>

* **Reshooting**\
  Precisely edits a selected segment of the video on the timeline while keeping the rest unchanged. Reshooting uses **Seedance 2.5** in **Edit** mode by default, so you only need to choose the **Resolution**.

<figure><img src="https://3712251980-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fd1iOtdhEqFbDy8JzwAnH%2Fuploads%2FYuCQR9UvLcHclZYARknN%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=981a4928-fa2a-430c-b239-b6c8b3e775a6" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>Reshooting</p></figcaption></figure>

* **Editing**\
  Edits the video with Smart Editing.

* **Cutting**\
  Crops part of an existing video.

<figure><img src="https://3712251980-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fd1iOtdhEqFbDy8JzwAnH%2Fuploads%2FzoKkGhj7G2MpWEmVnsIF%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=4feee93a-6675-4aff-80f9-5fdb157118a2" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>Cutting tool</p></figcaption></figure>

* **Upscale video to 4K**

  Use **Upscale** (the AI video upscaler in Avis) to increase the resolution of an existing video, for example from 480p up to 4K. The aspect ratio is kept, and you can keep the original frame rate or choose a new one.

  1. Select the **Video Node**, then choose **Upscale** in the Video Node tools.
  2. In the **Upscale video** window, check the video preview. It shows the current size, frame rate and duration.
  3. Choose your settings (see below).
  4. Check the **Estimate** at the bottom, then click **Upscale**.

  <figure><img src="https://3712251980-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fd1iOtdhEqFbDy8JzwAnH%2Fuploads%2FisEpeyt2dLqNGnd0ALVD%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0bd1e4bd-21da-4fc6-ad57-60ced2913f0c" alt="" width="426"><figcaption><p>Upscale video window</p></figcaption></figure>

  **Main settings**

  <table><thead><tr><th width="196.0025634765625">Setting</th><th>What it does</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Quality</strong></td><td>Chooses the upscale tier. <strong>Standard</strong> is the default and is faster and cheaper.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Output resolution</strong></td><td>Target resolution, from 240p up to 4K. The aspect ratio of your video is kept.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Frame rate</strong></td><td>Leave it on <strong>Keep source</strong> to keep the original frame rate. You can enter a value from 15 to 120 FPS for smoother motion; higher values take longer.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Content</strong></td><td>Tells the model what kind of video this is, so it can pick the right enhancement. Default: <strong>General</strong>.</td></tr></tbody></table>

  \
  **Advanced settings**

  Click **Advanced** to open more options. Most users can leave these on the default values.

  <table><thead><tr><th width="197.986083984375">Setting</th><th>What it does</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Style</strong></td><td>Sets the look of the result. <strong>HD - sharper</strong> gives a crisper image.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Bitrate</strong></td><td>Low, medium (default) or high. Higher bitrate gives better quality and a larger file.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Exact bitrate (kbps)</strong></td><td>Enter a specific bitrate. Leave empty for <strong>Automatic</strong>.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Custom short side</strong></td><td>Sets the exact size of the shorter side, from 128 to 2160 px. Overrides <strong>Output resolution</strong>. Leave empty to use the preset.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Destination folder ID</strong></td><td>Optional. The ID of an AVIS folder where the result is saved. Leave empty to save in your personal storage. This is an AVIS folder ID, not a Canvas ID.</td></tr></tbody></table>

  \
  **Estimate**

  The estimated cost and the output size and frame rate (for example, 2160px · 24 FPS) are shown at the bottom left. The estimate changes when you change the settings.

  The upscaled video keeps its progress while it runs, so you can keep working on the Canvas.\
  \
  **Tips**

  * The estimate depends on video length and output resolution. Check it before clicking **Upscale**.
  * Upscaling makes a clip sharper but cannot add detail that was never there. Start with a short test clip.

* **Analysis**\
  Analyzes the video.

* **Intelligent subtitle removal**\
  Coming soon<br>
* **Audio separation**\
  Separates audio from the video so you can keep a character’s voice or the background sound as a reference for the next scene. Options: Only human voices are retained; Keep only background sound; Audio and video separation. Useful for keeping a character’s voice consistent across scenes.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.avis.net/avis-creative-studio/feature-guide/video-node.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
